How you care and maintain your knife directly affects how long it lasts and preserves its cutting edge. By following the simple rules below, your Paudin knives will be your long-lasting kitchen companion.
For Knives with Stainless steel blades
A knife with a stainless-steel blade can be washed with hot water and dish soap or any other mild soap. If there does happen to be some dried food on the blade, let it soak in shallow water for a minute or two rather than scrubbing away at the stubborn bit. Then wipe the knife immediately with a dry soft cloth.
For Knives with High carbon steel blades:
The best way to clean carbon steel knives without damaging them is to wipe them with a clean cloth after each use, without passing them under running water. Here are some other tips to keep in mind:
Do not let it soak in water
Do not use soap of any kind
Dry the blade immediately with a clean, dry cloth after cleaning
Store it in a dust-free drawer or knife block
Are Paudin Knives dishwasher safe?
We don’t recommend using a dishwasher to clean your knife permanently, it can cause a dull blade and nicks in the knife-edge or even cracks in wooden handles. However, if you do so, make sure not to exceed a washing temperature of 130 °F. And try to place the knives separately to avoid impact with other objects.
